Eugene Vincent Ellis (1932-2015) was a poet and musician from Atlanta, Georgia. He was an architect by trade and was also a classical pianist and composer. He began writing poems while in his teens and had poems published in the US and Great Britain, some as limited-edition chapbooks. He was also involved with poetry events in Atlanta as an organizer. “Poem on a Fragment of a Love Letter Found In a Savannah Cemetery” was published in 1974, in 200 copies, by the Tinhorn Press in Atlanta.
