From the author's introduction: "While I was there (Federal Penitentiary in Terre Haute, Indiana), a young correctional officer was out driving with his wife and their infant off-spring and accidently (sic) drove his car into the Wabash River. He had to quit because of the hazing he received because he made no attempt to save either his wife or his child. Thirty years later, I had a dream about a bus sinking into a large body of water and just before it went under I could make out letters on the top back of the bus Terre Haute Schools and after many more dreams I wrote the book."
